Tame-nuri Tsubaki dish.

A zelkova handmade small sweet dish, turned on a lathe by a third generation craftsman. This dish includes a variety of techniques and uses the traditional Wajima-nuri process which includes reinforcement with linen cloth and undercoats of locally found baked, diatomaceous earth. It is finished with a fabric texture in tame-nuri and silver hirame sprinkled under the final coat on both the inside and outside of the lip which will begin to shine as the dish is worn with use. This denotes the Japanese sense of Wabi-Sabi
