A handmade bowl using locally grown zelkova wood, turned on a lathe by a third generation craftsman. The shape of this bowl is inspired by a flower just opening.. It uses the traditional Wajima-nuri techniques and has been finished in a graduation of colour from red to black. It has been decorated with two dragonflies which represent the soul in Japanese culture, these are done with shell inlay and gold maki-e.
